At Sparrow, Chef Josh aims to showcase his simple yet sophisticated Mediterranean-American cuisine in an informal setting, paying particular homage to fresh, local and seasonal ingredients.
BIOGRAPHY - JOSHUA P. BOTSFORD, Executive Chef, Sparrow
Joshua Botsford was born in Brazil and spent his early years in South and Central America. With his family, Josh regularly spent summers criss-crossing Europe, where he acquired an early appreciation for the fresh ingredients and sun-drenched flavors of Mediterranean cuisine.
Josh worked in the Boston area from 1995-2004, having trained with two James Beard Award winning chefs – Barbara Lynch (Chef/owner of No 9 Park in Boston) and Marco Canora (Executive Chef at Craft and Gramercy Tavern in New York). Josh was the Executive Chef at 33 Restaurant and Lounge in Boston for two years before launching Sparrow.
He was recently inducted into the International Who’s Who of Chef’s, awarded 5 Stars by the North American Restaurant Association and received an Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator. |
